Elin Vs. Allergy Pills

Apparently, these things will sometimes make me brick stupid, even though I need to take them in order to survive the pollen here in Texas.

That laundry I mentioned last night? Normally, I check all my pockets before I put clothes in to wash. Not so last night, I guess due to the total imbecile factor induced by my allergy pills. In going through the stuff I got out of the dryer this morning (I had to dry one load this morning because they lock the laundry room here at the ridiculously early hour of 10 pm...), I found a completely empty tube of Disney Princesses Chapstick. I mean, the entire tube was totally wiped clean, inside and out.

However, there is no Chapstick anywhere on any of the clothes. It's a laundry miracle!

But.... where did all the Chapstick go? I admit, I am completely boggled. And feeling kinda dumb that I missed an entire tube of Chapstick in one of my pockets. Durrrrrrrr....

Today is a day filled with paperwork! You can almost feel the excitement, can't you?

Being basically retarded and having learned this fact long ago, I now stick to certain procedures to avoid things like "washing the phone".

The relevant one is: if I'm in the apartment, my pockets are empty. That's a rule, and I have a spot set up specifically for everything to go when I start emptying them.

I figure that when actual Alzheimer's starts to kick in, I'll have a head start on it and nobody will notice for a while, including me.

Good lord, I am terrified of having Alzheimer's. My short-term memory already kinda sucks. Yikes!

That system for the pockets is good though. I should totally steal that.

I too have to use a "Empty pocket spot" to keep from stupid acts of laundry. However, because I'm so used to emptying my pockets whenever entering MY apartment I sometimes slip and empty them in OTHER people's apartments.

I've gotten the whole "Empty pocket" thing down, I'm having problems with the whole "HERE" and "NOT HERE" thing.
