I make comic books. (http://www.radiocomix.com) This passes for my living, but just barely, so I have been known to freelance and I work a day job in a comic store. My journal will no doubt be heavily edited, so if you're looking for dirt and gossip, you'll probably be bored stiff. My life is fairly dull since I work most of my time that I'm awake. Since my start in comics in 1993, I have written comic stories for Antarctic Press and my own company, edited literally thousands of comic books, and done freelance manga rewrite for Antarctic Press, Studio Proteus/Dark Horse and DMP. I've also been active in anime fandom since 1989, which now seems a surprisingly long time ago.
There will occasionally be profanity, crude language and posts about "controversial" topics on my journal. Let it be known here that I unequivocally support gay/lesbian/transgendered rights, a woman's right to choose/control her reproductive system, religious freedom (for *all* religions, even if I don't practice them), the idea that all body types can be beautiful and feminism/women's rights. Please do not attempt to change my belief system, it's been working for over 30 years now and I don't like change. (I'm still upset about when they took the tasty nitrates out of hot dogs and when they got rid of red M&Ms, and I think those happened in the mid-1970's.) I have a bad temper, a foul mouth, a tendency to be brutally honest and an overly developed sense of sarcasm. If you have a major problem with any of these things, you probably don't want to be reading my journal in the first place. Heh.
Please note: feel free to add me to your friends list if you like reading my journal. But just so you know, you can only comment on my stuff if you are on my friends list- I've had too much trouble online to leave my comments space open to anonymous posters. I also reserve the right to delete rude comments and kick the makers of same off my friendslist- honestly, it's my journal, and I really don't feel I need to take a bunch of crap on it. Sorry if this seems harsh, but it's just my personal preference. And please, do not get offended if you add me and I don't add you back immediately. It sometimes takes me a while to notice when people have friended my journal as I don't visit my user info page very often.
