Prettiest Movie EVER.

Everything in it was perfect. Such dresses! Such shoes! Such interiors! The soundtrack! Swoon-worthy.

Here is one of the trailers if you don't believe me.

Yeah, after seeing that movie I feel rather drab in my jeans and shirt. I need crinoline!

Ugh, I should've just gone to that as opposed to that birthday party. My head is killing me!!!

I know, I totally want to be wearing giant, swishy skirts with miles of ruffles and Belgian lace. Seriously. Sure, it's totally impractical, but it was sooooo pretty.

So how did they handle the "beheading" scene?

They didn't show it; they didn't have to really. Everyone already knows the ending, this was much more about her life in Versailles. ^_^

Some people have complained about the modern day 80's soundtrack in a period movie, but the way they did it was perfect. It really gave you the feeling of a rebellious teenage girl who was bored out of her mind. ^_^ The movie also has a very slow pace, which I didn't mind at all, but people who are into fast-moving films will probably be bored silly. As I am used to shoujo manga, it totally worked for me. ^_^

And there are a few moments which I swear are straight out of the Rose of Versailles manga. Eeeeeeee! ^_^ (Alas, no Oscar and Andre though...)

Man, I want to see that so badly ._.

It made me like Pink and I hate pink! I could've eaten the clothes and the food!

Imagine how it was for me, I LOOOOOVE pink! I was nearly fainting from the prettiness. ^_^

All those desserts were so beautiful- and I don't even have a strong sweet tooth. It sure makes regular life seem blah now though- mac & cheese and Little Debbie snack cakes don't really seem so jazzy once you see the palace of Versailles.
