And me, too! Today was a day filled with paperwork. Inventory paperwork. Order processing paperwork. Convention tallying paperwork. Artist reference paperwork. Receipt sorting paperwork. Who would think hours of paperwork would make you so tired? I spent so much time typing and doing data entry in my office that my hands became ice cold and I couldn't feel my fingertips. (My office is always the coldest room in the apartment. We suspect it is because it houses my icy black heart most of the time...) After all the paperwork, I warmed up my hands with some cocoa and then packed contributor copy packages. I despair of us ever getting fully caught up. Twelve issues of Furrlough a year, six issue of Genus, six issues of Milk, usually with at least three to five creators in each issue.... well, the packages stack up fast. That doesn't even begin to count the specials and annuals, which often have over twenty artists/writers in each one. Someday, though, we'll be caught up... In other stuff, we are working hard towards our final deadline for Manga #3 for DMP, so we are pretty much in submarine-Radio-silence-mode. I am still waiting to hear back from DD about the final translation for Novel #1. I need to have the final rewrite done in February some time, so I am biting my nails about it.

After all this thrilling work, I made soft tacos and Spanish rice for dinner. Don't get too excited, the rice is Mahatma brand, and pretty instant. Still, it was tasty. [livejournal.com profile] suarez and [livejournal.com profile] jameshanrahan stopped by and we watched Zorro, the Gay Blade and the end of Monday Night Raw. I played a little Animal Crossing: Wild World and finally got my house paid off. There really hasn't been much time for video gaming lately. I also finished the first piece of the afghan I am knitting for [livejournal.com profile] matthigh, and started on the second. (I am making it up as I go along, it will be wide stripes of green and charcoal grey.) I think it'll turn out nice, it's pretty soft. Later, we sampled some new flavors of Pretz I picked up in California during Further Confusion- Cheese & Potato flavor and Butter & Maple flavor. I prefer the Cheese & Potato one, the other one is like a pancake explosion with a buttery aftertaste that I found too strong.

Now, I have cats who believe it is time to eat (they are early...). Time to feed them and get ready for bed so I can get up early for start-of-the-month banking and bill-paying tomorrow. The excitement never ends!
