A-Kon Pre-Panic

I was just reminded today that A-Kon is about 13 days away for me. (11-12 if you don't count the days that I work at the day job between now and then...) So, I am going into complete pre-con panic mode. I have eleven billion things to do before the convention, so I will probably be very scarce online between now and then. We need to make some money at this convention for various and sundry huge freaking bills (taxes: $4k, San Diego: at least $2k, etc.), so I have to do a ton of things to make sure we are on point and ready to sell, sell, sell at the con. And we will be going out to the con fairly broke-ass poor, since the rent, storage rent, and start of the month bills will all be due to be paid immediately before the convention. Yet another reason to turn on the "sell! sell! sell!" machine at the con!

Things I need to do, in no particular order (in a cut in case you don't want to see the whole giant-ass list):

WORK:
--2 (possibly 3) shifts at VGSX
--make pull list of con stock inventory
--pull con stock from storage
--pull more freebies from storage
--sort and prep con stock
--make sure we have enough comic short boxes for the stock (if not, pick up a couple more)
--bag & board & sticker display copies of adult comics
--review a submission that needed to be reviewed like yesterday
--write October solicitation info (due before we leave)
--pick up Furrlough #159 and Genus #77 at printers (after 5/30)
--order processing
--mail order packing and shipping
--ship more pre-reg freebies
--answer all eBay/FurBid auction emails
--ship all possible eBay/FurBid auction items
--get shipping info and payment for shipping for the program guide to printers
--make sure program guide is finished, shipped
--pull reorders from storage, pack, ship
--prep Furrlough #160 and Milk #53 (must go to press as soon as we get back from the con...)
--answer more email
--arrange transportation of people and stock to A-Kon
--make sure badges are all set up
--make copies of submission guidelines
--pack con table supplies (cash box, receipt books, tape, Sharpies, pens, sheets, notepads, Post-Its, scissors, backing boards, signage, BAGS! Don't forget the freaking box of plastic bags!!!)
--get table change from bank
--pack up trib copy packages for artists who will be at the con
--get display rack out of storage, find large Radio Comix display banner
--send shipping info to printer for various books that are there
--worry frantically about Girly trade paperback, freak out with maximum power

PERSONAL:
--laundry
--choose and pack clothes (plus 1 nice outfit for Cosplay judging night)
--dye hair (black); if time, get trim
--finish all knitting projects (weaving in ends, fringing, final knitting bits)
--finish all mini totebag projects (sewing, etc.)
--make hang tags for bags & scarves, price same
--BUY SMALL DISPLAY DOODAD FOR HANGING BAGS AND SCARVES
--clean catboxes
--buy con groceries (Gatorade, water, granola bars, non-perishable edibles for the room- go to Sam's Club for bargains)
--shave legs, do eyebrows, nails
--arrange for cat-sitting (with denshousha)
--scoop sinuses out of head with melon baller, discard
--sleep whenever posssible, eat food when hungry (I tend to get sick when I forget those two things...)


I *think* that is everything. I'm sure I will find a couple of things I missed, and insert them into the list later. Off to start working on this stuff.
