The Final Countdown
Jan. 20th, 2004 11:20 amWhat I've gotten done:
--answered email (more to do)
--prepped royalty paperwork (about half done)
--went to bank (to get some eating money for the trip and money for change)
--finished up and turned in FURRLOUGH #132, GENUS #63, MANGAPHILE #22 (with great piles of work from
willworks and DP)
--made sure ad for POLYP TPB is arranged (emailed all info to
artistgonenuts)
--shipped BUREAU OF MANA INVESTIGATION 8-packs
--arranged Ushicon stuff (with great thanks to
artistgonenuts who has offered a corner of his table for us! Yay!)
--went to HEB to get travel things (medicines, OPI Chip Skip for my nails)
Still To Do:
--pack small supplies (business cards, receipt books, etc.)
--dye hair, nail prep, leg shaving
--answer email (there's always more)
--finish royalty paperwork
--pack and ship more ebay and FurBid stuff
--pack and ship more mail order and subscriptions (half-done)
--pack and ship reorders for Eros (this will probably have to wait till I get back)
--pack clothes (carry-on bag)
--deal with some tax stuff
--send shipping info to Brenner for afore-mentioned books
My sore throat seems to have gone away, but now my nose won't stop running. I also cannot stop sneezing. I'm praying it's allergies from the damn landscapers who now take two days to do the grasscutting. (And hopefully, not a cold. That would be Teh Suck!) Our flight leaves at 6:00 am on Wednesday morning, so we have to be there around 4:30 or 5:00 am. Argh. That will suck so bad. In other things, the ending of AZUMANGA DAIOH is awesome. I highly recommend that anime! I think Sakaki, Osaka and Chiyo-chan are my favorite characters (especially the way they interact with each other), though I really feel for Yomi, too. It's a good show and I like the manga a lot as well. I'm hoping I packed enough GENUS: MALE #3 for the convention- I know I packed enough for the artists out there, but I expected
amegoddess to come and pick hers up before the con so I worry there won't be enough copies for everyone.
Batty has decided that every so often I must pick him up and cuddle him. He is quite insistent and demanding about it, and purrs (very quietly) once he is picked up. This is weird, because before he was a cat that hated being held. I guess he's mellowing out now that he's fixed. I wish I could bring the cats to the convention, if only because it's hard to sleep without cats on the bed. (Which is not a good reason to bring them, obviously...)
Back to work for me. I'll post once I get back from the convention!
