Today I paid a bill, got the mail with [livejournal.com profile] hammerhand and shipped reorders of GENUS: MALE #3 out via UPS. I also posted ebay auctions and a few random FurBid auctions. Have to get back on that auction horse so I can make sure San Diego is covered. I also did data entry for a bunch of comics for the new shopping cart. There are only a few hundred more to enter..... heh.

Tomorrow is my Duran Duran concert. Yikes! I have no clue what to wear. Hammer joked I should dress how I would have been dressed had I gotten to see them as a teenager, but I no longer own any white leather jazz shoes. I also no longer own any pastel cropped cotton pants, the bright turquoise blue faux leather miniskirt I adored, fingerless gloves or clashing pairs of socks. So, I don't think I can time-travel via clothing. ^_^; I do still own my Arena t-shirt though, with the neckline cut out all jagged as was the style at the time. But I can no longer wear it in public, since it's now practically sheer from laundering. (It's a sleep shirt. The design covers everything important...) I'm sure I'll figure out something.

Had pasta for dinner, watched wrestling (boring, except for Eddie Guererro and the stupid teasing of the return of the Undertaker... what, you mean he wasn't *really* buried alive in a pile of dirt in the middle of the Dallas arena?!), watched ED WOOD again ("Perfect!"), and redid my nails in anticipation of the upcoming concert and convention. I'm using the new sheer/glitter pale turquoise Anna Sui polish I got for my birthday, with iridescent silver metallic French nail tips (another polish, much cheaper than Anna Sui). It looks all right. The amazing power of O.P.I. Chip Skip has inspired me to maintain a decent manicure again- so I can get creative without worrying about the polish chipping off mere minutes after finishing my nails. Yeah, my life is full of excitement, ain't it? Also must prep mini-stock for the con tomorrow, and make sure the car reservation worked.

Concert tomorrow! Whoo!

I'm surprised, I've been to about half. Wacky.

I walked over to [livejournal.com profile] suarez's place in the freezing cold so I could get my promised ride to the bank, only to find he wasn't home. That round-headed monkey needs a damn telephone. My ears hurt like hell now, since I had no clue it was so cold when I started walking (it doesn't *look* cold, it looks like yesterday). Had I known, I would have worn a hat. Hooray for earaches.

On the way down our street to the gate of his complex, I saw a dead possum lying by the side of the road. On the walk back, there was a huge black bird picking at it. At first I thought it was a raven, but the head was all wrong. I still don't know what it was, but it looked like a miniature vulture, and was all black with a greyish head and a white ring around the neck. It was maybe a foot and a half tall. I'm not a bird person, so perhaps my description isn't too good. Anyway, it was ripping big chunks out of the possum's guts and it was really gross. Our street is very quiet in the morning, so you could hear everything. Ugh!

I should point out we live in the middle of the city, surrounded by strip malls, buildings, apartment complexes and a high school. But we see dead wildlife on the road all the time, and raccoons occasionally come into the patio to drive the cats crazy. Welcome to Texas.
