Can't Trust That Day
Aug. 9th, 2004 11:26 pmIt's been busy, as usual. Brief recaps then, before I pass out for the night.
I lied about completely relaxing on Saturday. I ended up working on paperwork while I watched movies after I finished some housework. Apparently, I am almost completely incapable of sitting still in front of the TV- I have to have something to do with my hands. I did work on my quilt some more though. I think my mom may be right, and I might be borderline ADD or something. I can't stand to sit and do NOTHING.
Sunday, I worked on book stuff for the batch of books we need to turn in these next two weeks (Hit the Beach #11, Milk #42, Furrlough #139 and Havoc Inc #10). I also did more paperwork, puzzled over the December Diamond solicitation info, read some submission stuff (need to reply to those that got read still), answered more email, processed orders, and prepped subscription stuff. In the evening,
willworks and I went over to
suarez's apartment to watch a movie. We watched City Hunter, the Jackie Chan version, and it's still funny. Nice to see it with such a clear DVD picture too- I've only seen it as a nth-generation bootleg video. Anyway, Chingmy Yau, one of my favorite comedic HK actresses was in it also, so that was fun. I forgot she was even in it.
Today, got up early, answered some email, processed some orders, and then went to do errands with the help of
suarez. Picked up the mail, went to the bank, and went to pay the storage rent. After that, packed subscriptions with
tabitharjones and answered more email, did Radio forum admin stuff, did more paperwork, and talked over more solicitation/submission stuff with the other Radio staffers. I was slowed down today by some weird allergy/hayfever thing which kept my eyes watering and itching all day, especially if I had to read the computer screen. Argh! Even allergy meds did nothing, and I blame the annoying landscaping crew for using their leafblowers to blow all kinds of crap into the air. Today was also Ava Gardner Day on TCM, and I paused in my labors to watch Bhowani Junction and Knights of the Round Table. I'm still debating watching Night of the Iguana or having a bath and going to bed. There won't be any bathing all day tomorrow, since the apartment complex is turning off the water to fix a broken pipe. Yay. Yubi is also coming to visit tomorrow, since Suarez has maintenence men coming to his apartment.
Now I am signing off, since typing this is making my eyes water more. ;_;
