All of you out there with cats, if you can, send some positive thoughts towards my friend [livejournal.com profile] cluegirl. Her cat Yasha is suffering a very severe, very mysterious debilitating disease (complete with seizures and coma-like states), and he needs all the help he can get.

We turned in Milk #42 to the printers yesterday, and also paid another huge printing bill. I'm still smarting over that. Ouchie.

In other stuff done yesterday: answered email, posted auctions, packed some light mail, went to storage and got out comics we need for the orders, faxed shipping info out, moderated the online forum, processed and logged orders, did some online store maintenence, sorted boxes of submissions to get stuff ready for answering (while despairing of ever getting *everything*answered), and worked on subscriptions again with [livejournal.com profile] tabitharjones.

I also did a load of dishes, and forgot to eat until the evening, as I was eating mini Twix bars all day. D'oh! Yes, the secret to my busy nature: sugar. Oh no, the secret is out.

What the fuck is up with the resurgence of ponchos?! Just for the record, ponchos are a WORLD OF NO. Always have been, always will be.

The only person who has ever looked good in a poncho in the whole history of time is Clint Eastwood in those Italian westerns he made. NO ONE ELSE EVER HAS. Period.

Please stop trying to market ponchos as a viable alternative to jackets, sweaters or evening wraps and please stop filling fashion magazines with them. They are ugly. They are ill-fitting. They make people look retarded. They were bad in the 1970's and they are still bad to this day. If a kid wore a poncho back in my grade school, they were mercilessly teased.

I suppose we can look for a revival of moon boots next? Or perhaps crocheted beer can hats?

PS Stop it with the trucker hats already, they are stupid. They also cease to be ironic in Texas, where non-fashion-concious people just wear them all the time.
