May. 22nd, 2006 12:49 pmThis weekend has been oddly frustrating, work-wise. It started when we went to pick up the mail on Friday, and discovered we'd received some paperwork from San Diego Comic Con that day. Not too strange, right? Wrong, it was a batch of forms that were all emblazoned with "YOU MUST SIGN AND RETURN THESE BY MAY 18!!!". We received them on May 19th. And the postmark was May 11th. We signed them and sent them off immediately, but jeez louise, now I am all paranoid about the booth. I can only hope that many other vendors at the con got their stuff late and consequently had to return their paperwork late- I can't imagine how late the forms would have been for vendors in Canada or New York or something. So that was the first thing to make me nervous.
Then, this morning, we find out that the Girly trade might not be done in time for A-Kon, and also, by the way, Quebecor never received any of my emails regarding price quotes (though they did receive the ones from
superhappy, thank god...) Which kind of explains why they never got back in touch with me, I guess. So now I am also all paranoid about our email not working right. I also need to find out how many Diamond needs, so we can get the shipping to Diamond taken care of, which means hammering at people until I get my purchase order information. More stress. (They also need to get us our assignment paperwork for Furrlough and Genus, which are at the regular printer.)
And finally, the online store is acting weird with a couple of customers. At least a couple of customers wrote in to ask what was going on with it in regards to their orders, so now I am worried that it is freaking out on even more who are remaining silent. Which makes me paranoid about the online store.
Hooray, fresh things to worry and stress about. That stress about paying the taxes and the upcoming convention expenses was getting old and tired... thank goodness I have some new things to freak out about now!
Here, have an article about the popularity of manga in foreign countries.
