Saturday Sucks
Sep. 9th, 2006 11:20 amAnd it's not even noon yet!
First, our online store is apparently down, as the guy who handles the back end for us is doing maintenence on it. This sucks because 1) I had orders that came in last night I needed to process today, and 2) we can't work on the mail order now since we need info that's in the store. (There's so much backed up mail order due to the con trip that it's taking longer than usual to get it all packed and ready.) It would have been nice if oh, I dunno, we'd been told this maintenence was coming so we could have planned around it.
Second, someone who bought some stuff from me on eBay on 9/3 has already filed a non-delivery refund claim with PayPal! Yay! I say to allow two weeks on all my auctions. Thanks for not being able to read, buddy! They also completely ignored the response I gave them where I said "hey, sorry about that, was out of town, stuff will be shipped this weekend". Oh no, it's better to file a chargeback with PayPal instead. Hooray!
Third, I am drowning in emails to answer. And of course they are all URGENT! Unfortunately, a lot of them concern orders in the online store, which I can't access to check on people's order status! Hooray! And there are dozens of others which are requests for things I can't deal with until Monday at the earliest.
Fourth, our online forum is acting up again, where it refuses to let us post to it, saying we are Forbidden to post on the server. It only does this when the server gets completely overloaded. And strangely, we're apparently somehow almost going to exceed our bandwidth there, which makes absolutely no sense. The forum isn't even that big, and it doesn't have *that* much activity! I can only assume it's because of the constant barrage of spambots from Albania.
I guess since the day is already gonna be crappy, I might as well go work on some tax stuff, so my stress for today can be complete. Hooray!
PS
divalea has pictures of her horrible house fire up at her journal. For pete's sake, send her a couple of bucks if you can spare it at divalea (at) gmail (dot) com. The pictures are heartbreaking.
