Kon is Done!
Jun. 1st, 2009 07:12 pmWe are home, technically, as we are in the Radio apartment. Soon, we go to Casa de Suarez for showers and sleep.
Kon was busy. Cosplay was hectic, but by all accounts went okay. My staffers were completely awesome. The video
veltonkyle made to open the Cosplay with went over really well! (Soon to be on YouTube- it's 20 years of A-Kon cosplay set to ELO's "Twilight".) I lost my voice, and can only croak through a throat apparently filled with broken glass. Only saw the dealer's room the last day of the Kon- was disappointed by the lack of Toradora, Soul Eater and Yattaman merch, but that's okay since I was broke regardless.
poinko made me an awesome Doronjo-sama badge that will be an LJ icon in no time. I missed seeing a lot of people, but I did become intimately acquainted with the interior of Pearl 5 at the Sheraton (formerly Adam's Mark). Our panel was sparsely attended by people we knew, possibly because it was listed at two different times on the schedule. We ate sushi on Sunday night, as is tradition.
Of course, we got kolaches in West, Texas on the way back. Tomorrow there is comic store work, so I have to rest up for that. Maybe a Kon report will happen later, maybe not.
