Bits and Bobs

doronjosama--I have new Converse high tops. They are pink, and were purchased for a song in the children's section of Academy Surplus. (They were *really* cheap! They would have been at least $20-30 more at the mall!) However, Academy no longer has Doc Martens. Boo. But hooray for having feet tiny enough to wear children's sizes.
--Aside from packing and some personal grooming bits, I am ready to go to the con. Wow.

willworks and I are bringing a box of each as checked luggage. Not the best solution, but there you go.
--The cats have already figured out Something Is Up. They are in everything I am trying to do.
--I bit my lip on the inside edge in my sleep the other night, and it turned into a cold sore! UGH! It's very annoying. Also, extremely attractive.
--Season 3 of Buffy is really fun so far. I am developing a crush on Giles that I can't explain. It's gotta be the accent. Also, I am disappointed that they never really cashed in on the massive Faith/Buffy chemistry. ^_~ (I've seen seasons 1 and 2, most fo 6 and all of 7. So, I am filling in the blanks...)
--I saw King Kong and I liked it. All the 1930's New York scenes were *amazing*, I don't care what anyone else says. Also, all the costumes were perfect, even down to the shoes. I am a stickler for getting the shoes right in historical pieces. They had good shoes in this movie. ^_^
Now, to go pack things and get my personal grooming under control. My plane leaves tomorrow morning and I want to try to get to sleep early so I don't start the con with a horrible sleep deficit. Must remember to charge my DS up and get my knitting packed up for travel. Is it possible to bring scissors in checked luggage, or are they completely banned from all flights, period?
