My First Day At Work

By Elin Winkler, Age 37.
My first day went fairly well. I didn't break anything or spit on anyone, nor did I fall into a bin of comics. It was an average day in a comic/RPG/anime store, which I liked just fine. I got to help make a display for the midnight release of Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition, and drew a baby beholder on the sign I made. So, all in all a successful day.
Now I am channeling my inner weeaboo, as I am making brown rice for a bento lunch for tomorrow and waiting for my dinner of Nissin ramen (aka The Good Stuff) to cool off enough to eat. After that, it's diving headfirst into mail order and auction items that need to go out this week, as well as final production on Anubis: Dark Desire #4 (
hbruton or
dhstein, is there any particular order we need to put the stories in? I realized we ought to ask...)
I work again tomorrow, and it will likely be busy. Anubis will also be uploaded to the printers tomorrow, so it can be printed in time for Anthrocon. (Barring any weirdness at the printers, which I don't anticipate.)
