Still sick today; I fear the cold is getting slightly worse. Well, hopefully that means it will soon get better. I hope so, as I still have a lot of work to do. As an added bonus of fun, Aunt Flo is now visiting as well! Hooray!

Yesterday, I did paperwork stuff, and answered emails. Logged orders, and went to give Brenner another small check. I also did some inventory and store maintenence. The rest of the time, I attempted sleep and failed, since I just cannot sleep during the day unless I am REALLY sick. Just being slightly sick doesn't count, I guess. I watched [livejournal.com profile] willworks play more Rumble Roses, and watched a couple episodes of Jem and a couple episodes of The Tribe season 4. I do love my bad TV, yes I do.

I am bummed out that I missed the screening of Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! last night. We really wanted to go, but it started raining really bad, and the TV started doing the low water crossing warnings. Plus, I started feeling really gross and sick, so no movie fun for me. Ah well.

Today I have more inventory to do and more paperwork. I'm also going to try to sneak in a nap, since I really feel like crap on a crap cracker today. We'll see how that whole nap idea goes though- I swear, my body just refuses to sleep unless it's pitch black outside.

There is a cardboard box in my office that smells like vomit, I swear to god. It's really gross. It's a big box of envelopes, and I think I'll have to take all the envelopes out of the box and throw the box away. Nice to know the DayQuil has given me my sense of smell back, but god, what a stink to have to encounter! Bleah!

Texas School bans Crossdressing Day for Homecoming; substitutes "Camo Day".

Stolen shamelessly from [livejournal.com profile] lostboydv.

What the hell? Is Sadie Hawkins Day next? Lord knows, you don't want those ladies to be askin' the menfolks out, why- they might get uppity idears! Next thing ya know, they'd be wantin' ta vote and own property!

Crossdressing encourages homosexuality? Well, I guess all those pants my mom made me wear when I was growing up are to blame for why I had crushes on Julie Newmar and Tina Louise! It's the PANTS! They made me think girls were pretty!

This is totally ridiculous, crossdressing has nothing to do with homosexuality. Haven't these people ever seen Ed Wood? Just because some gay men like to crossdress doesn't mean every crossdresser is gay or even bisexual. This rigid kind of thinking is so backwards. I could have sworn we were living in 2004, not 1954.

For the record, the football team and cheerleader team at my high school would dress in drag for one day during homecoming week. They'd basically dress up as the opposite group- guys in cheerleader outfits, girls in football outfits. It was an old tradition that went back years. I doubt it made anyone gay, though I did later see two of the star football players making out with each other at the Bonham Exchange (the big gay club here in SA). But I am pretty sure they were gay before they dressed in drag. You can't be "turned gay". You either are or you aren't, you're just born that way.
