That Five Simple Pleasures meme thing:

1. My cats. Nothing is better than cat love. My kitties are the best things, EVER.

2. Turner Classic Movies. I love this channel. I watch it more than any other, and will watch almost any old movie (even Westerns, which I am not really into, or war movies, which I am really not into) as long as it is old. I especially like old romance movies, old comedies, musicals, and drama films where the angst is turned up to ELEVEN. (See: any of Joan Crawford's movies...) I love silents as well, especially when they are fucking insane and demented, like Louise Brooks' many silents seem to be.

3. Knitting. I am still new to this, but it is remarkably soothing and relaxing. I'm already starting to obsess and window shop for yarn, even though I can't read patterns yet. Go me...

4. Video games. Especially World of Warcraft, either of the Animal Crossing games, or either of the Katamari games. They help me chill.

5. A ham sandwich on toasted white bread with Miracle Whip and a big glass of chocolate milk. It's the perfect combination! The other perfect sandwich is a tuna sandwich made with Miracle Whip with Pringles (or other potato chips) stuck in between the tuna salad and the bread. The tuna salad can't have anything gross like pickle relish, onions or apples deceitfully hidden in it, either.

I tag no one to do this meme! Do or do not, there is no try.

So anything with Miracle Whip in it, basically. I should try the ham sandwich. Yes, those of us who know, know to put the chips inside the sandwich.

As all right-thinking individuals do!

Something about the combo of the salty flavor with the Miracle Whip flavor with the chocolate milk just tastes really good to me. I don't know if other people would like it, though I know my buddy [livejournal.com profile] jameshanrahan does (since he introduced the concept to me...)

Somehow I see myself procuring ingredients specifically for this, today.

Y'know, the Animal Crossing and Katamari games really ARE amazing for cheering up. You can have a totally crappy day but pop in Katamari and it'll just /create/ smiles.

It's a shame you can't play them while doing something else. :) But you can listen to the music (turns on PS2).

This is true. Even just listening to the music makes it hard to be grumpy. ^.^

Knitting, sculpting, and conditioning clay are all great things that help me "attend", that is, to listen completely without interrupting.

I can help with the knitting by recommending "Knitting in Plain English" by Maggie Righetti. You can find used copies at Amazon for less than $10., or you can borrow my copy.

Oh. Never mind.
You forgot the chicken noodle soup!
