The World Shines For Me Today

Busy day, and I was up early to start it. I am worried that I may be coming down with a cold, so I have Immunity Boost juice. There's no other explanation for why I am so tired out.
This morning, we took half the reorder boxes down to the UPS Store and shipped them out. The other half will be going in another batch- we just had to split them up since there were so many. I also processed some orders and emailed a bunch of people who tried to order using Discover and American Express. We don't have either of those logos on the online store as we're not set up to accept either card, but people keep trying. It even says "We accept ViSA and MasterCard", with no mention of the other cards. What's more perplexing is that many people who have been told we can't accept those card get us alternate methods of payment, and then on their next order, attempt to use AmEx or Discover *again*. Which really just starts the whole process over again... Anyway, after dealing with that, I packed subscriptions and trib copies, and poked at the solicitation information for Diamond for the next batch of books. We're soliciting the September books, which means a new issue of Porndexters, yep, more girls in glasses/nerd girls naughtiness.
shon_howell is playing artist-wrangler again on that one, since it is his concept. Plus, it makes things slightly easier on my end! I also answered some email (more to do, but the solicitations being due tomorrow makes for a more pressing deadline, so more will get dealt with tomorrow once those are out of my hair), and poked at some other emails.
In other things, Hit the Beach #13 is coming up soon! Like scary soon. The deadline for submissions is June 5th. The cover will be by Ursula Husted and Phil Morrissey this year, continuing our trend to alternate between the Japanese artists and the American ones every other year. If you have submissions for the book, please send them in to
willworks at willworks (at) gmail (dot) com. He'll be doing production on the book, as he does every year.
Also must tidy up the living room and PD's office this week, as soon we will be playing host to
helmine and
kinggihdora to get the A-Kon program guide prepped for printing. And I need to put together Furrlough #159 and Genus #77 like whoa... so I will be a busy bee these next few days.
Totally unrelated to anything else, I bit the inside of my lip and now have a cold sore there. So pretty!

i hate when i do that
Date: 2006-05-11 12:26 pm (UTC)i had such a bad sneezing fit a couple of weeks ago, i seriously chomped the inside of my lower lip. and yep, at least once a day thereafter for the following week, i bit it while eating, since it was
swollen and thus in the way.
some days at least once per meal.
no matter how careful i was.
i finally managed to go 2 days without biting it, which is what it took to heal.

Date: 2006-05-11 08:58 pm (UTC)The cleaning is more along the lines of "making space for the inflatable mattress" and "uncovering a flat surface for computer work" than anything else. ^_^; I'm not *that* impressive in the instant cleaning area. ^_~
