I'm home. I'm exhausted. I am officially too fucking old to stay up till three or four in the morning four nights in a row without being a total wreck afterwards. (Seriously, I have circles under my eyes that are so dark that it looks like someone punched me in both of them...) It remains to be seen if I will develop any sort of con crud, though I did get a weird rash on my arm during the stopover in Arizona (a state which hates me, apparently, but the feeling is mutual...), which has already started to fade.

I saw lots of friends at the con and made some new ones, too, despite my sometimes almost-crippling shyness. I completely missed seeing some friends I really wanted to see, which was sad.

I'll do a real report of some sort later when I am not so tired. I have to pay bills tomorrow, too.

My kitties are very happy I am home. Even Bandito let me pet him, and he usually will not tolerate me touching him.

I'm sorry, I wanted to see you too!

Soon enough, grasshopper. Our paths are not done crossing yet, mark my words.

(muahahahahah!)

It suuuuuucked that we didn't get to see each other! You can ask Suarez, I was whining about it on the plane trip home, even. ^_^

I gotta get a real vacation to visit people someday, for reals.

While I know there are many reasons to hate AZ, I was just happy to be back in a place where I could walk around in 100 degree weather and not sweat.

DRY HEAT RULES!

That being said I hope you get plenty of rest and don't get sick or nuthin.

Dry heat actually kills me, I get dehydrated way too easily and just fall over. But I have a million reasons to hate Arizona, that started when I was 18 and the car I was riding in to California broke down in the middle of the desert. Ugh! There's plenty of nice people in AZ, but that state just doesn't like me... but then, it's nothing compared to the hate New Mexico amd I share. ^_^

It was so good seeing you all - though I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with you as I would've liked. I never do!

I'll keep my fingers crossed against con-ick for you.

It was so awesome to see you too! Really it was!

I'm so glad we got to eat dinner at least once during the show!

Doesn't it SUCK when you finally have to admit that? I discovered that this year, and I'm still bitter about it.

If it makes you feel any better, staying up that late for ONE night fucks me up, and I'm only 23.

I'm bitter about it, no doubt. I used to be able to stay up really late all the time, and now, I just get crankier and crankier. It's awful!

My problems are compounded by the fact that I MUST take medication in order to sleep (not sleeping pills or anything special; Mom and I discovered back in middle school that the drug I take for ADD/OCD/general level-ness puts me to sleep in larger doses, and since I've always had trouble sleeping, I just take a larger dose at night). If I take it and don't go to bed at a reasonable time, I get so tired I can't do anything. If I DON'T take it for any reason (such as not being able to find it—I never forget to take it), I get all weird and shaky, like I haven't eaten for a day, and can force myself to sleep for, perhaps, an hour that night. So I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. It may cause problems someday when I have kids (most of the medications I'm on probably shouldn't be taken during pregnancy), but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.

This is unrelated, but what does a GameCube broadband adapter usually retail for? I'll probably buy one online, and I don't want to get bilked. You work in a game store, so theoretically, you should have access to more information than I.

Yeah, I could NEVER do multiple nights. That was just bad. Oh well. :P

I'm sorry you're "old" now. *chortle* That's all right. You'll feel better in a few days about the whole thing, even if it is annoying.

Hope you had a nice time, otherwise, and hope you can be cool, considering you're in one of those hot states, too. :D

No worries on the cool part- every building in San Antonio has central air conditioning. In the summer, we just don't go outside, so it's pretty nice. In fact, I am often putting on sweaters in the summer because the A/C is too powerful!
