Where else can you see the Takarazuka perform Europe's "The Final Countdown" in Japanese while wearing gold lame pants?! Where, I ask you?!

There are a surprising number of Takarazuka performances up on YouTube now, which just makes me ridiculously happy. Ah, cheesy all-female Japanese theatre, how your absolute weirdness thrills me!

My friend told me she once saw a musical version of the 9-11 terror at Takarazuka. Sadly, no one seems to have uploaded it yet.

They will pretty much dance to anything. I have a cd somewhere of Keaki Mori's Takarazuka special where they dance to "Shredder's Suite" from the first TMNT movie.
