Already gotten a bunch of little things done- updated the online store, answered a bunch of emails, processed a bunch of orders, dealt with some auction stuff, and now I am getting ready to start with paperwork and more editorial stuff for Milk #55. Work progresses...

Sunday was a nice day, we headed out to the flea market with [livejournal.com profile] suarez and [livejournal.com profile] ichbinkeinenazi. Nothing really jumped out at me, which was good, since I am broke as heck right now. (And I purposely didn't bring any cash so I couldn't be tempted to buy anything.) The flea market was pretty lame though- seems like everyone has the same crappy junk nowadays. Ah well. After that, we all hung out and watched more Rome and then some Adult Swim and of course, the season finale of Flavor of Love. My favorite girl Deelishis (I swear, that's how they spell it) won the show, but it was a dramatic finish! There's rumors the whole thing is faked and that Flav has been dating New York this whole time, but whatever. Entertaining TV, nonetheless. The season finale for Venture Brothers totally kicked butt all over the place too, with cameos by Iggy Pop, David Bowie AND Klaus Nomi! It was so hilarious, I died laughing. (Meanwhile, other people were like "who the hell is the weird mime guy?!"... I can thank my pop for my musical education.) This season has been good for the music references, the first episode had a scene shot for shot from the "Hungry Like the Wolf" music video (again, I died laughing) and one of the others had the wedding scene from "White Wedding" reproduced, with the whole barbed wire wedding ring scraping up the finger thing. I really love that show. Metalocalypse was also rad this week, with the focus being completely on my favorite guy, Skwisgaar Skwigelf (taller than a tree). Even the episodes of Rome we watched on DVD were crazy with the drama and the big events! All in all, a good night for TV watching.

Now I am off to eat some lunch and get some more work done. We've got two books to turn in, and they aren't gonna edit themselves.

Klaus Nomi? Really?
Wow.

I think I saw a small snippet of Venture Brothers once. It looked like some sort of
very wrong Johnny Quest-type thing that an alien lifeform like me would not relate to.
I could be wrong.

That's the beauty of it, it's a very very wrong Jonny Quest with very sarcastic, black humor. Also, many strange Bowie references throughout the series. It's very fun. Also very wrong. ^_^

Venture Brothers never really interested me, and now that I've had my ass kicked by the Venture Co. Hirelings around the Winterhorn Well near Bloodhoof Village, I hate the show because it reminds me of that.

Seriously, WTF? The goblin is about a fourth the height of my Tauren! STOP STABBING ME IN THE KNEECAP!! ARRGH!!!
