To Do List, A-Kon 19, 2008

Everything I need to get done before we go to the convention:

Code Red:
--do production on Genus #88 (if you have stories for this, we need them ASAP!)
--turn in Genus #88 to the printers (no later than 5/13/08)
--do production on Furrlough #183 (if you have stories for this, we need them ASAP!)
--turn in Furrlough #183 to the printers (also no later than 5/13/08)
--ship last batch of recent subscriptions out (5/8/08)
--deliver pre-reg freebie comics to Dallas for the con (50 boxes) with matthigh (5/17/08)
--do production on Anubis: Dark Desire #4 and turn it in to the printer also (no later than 6/8/08)
--pay the printer for two one books
--write and send off solicitations to Diamond for September 2008 books (when are these due?! Is it this week or next week?! EDIT: due 5/13-14/08)

Code Orange:
--pay storage rent (5/8/08)
--make enough money for apartment rent ($1065, keeee-rist)
--pay rent (5/28/08)
--deal with auction transactions
--ship as much mail order as possible
--add pre-sale page to online store for Anubis: Dark Desire #4

Code Yellow:
--pull and prep Radio con stock (EDIT: pull list is made!)
--prep, price and pack personal con stock (manga, comics, anime doodads, etc.)
--print out submission guideline flyers
--pack con supplies (receipt books, tape, pens, sheets, bags, sharpies, cash box)
--get change for the cash box
--answer email
--ship trib copies to the artists who requested stuff for their con seasons

Code Green:
--get haircut
--do laundry
--choose and pack clothes & toiletries
--fix nails
--clean cat boxes
--go to Sam's Club for con supplies (Gatorade, water, etc.)
--clean out purse

Code Blue:
--don't get sick
--eat food
--sleep
--and how could I forget? pack more stuff for moving!

Already handled:
--Radio Comix ad for A-Kon program guide (hooray for willworks!)
--bios for A-Kon program guide
--badges/hotel situation/dealer's tables

Only about 21 days for all this to be handled, some of it more essential to be done sooner than others, naturally.

Solicits due next WEDNESDAY. As a rule of thumb solicits are due at Diamond on the second Thursday of every month, but something's wonky with the calendar for this month - probably some sort of convention conflict or somesuch.

All I know is AP sends solicits on the 13th... so next week if everybody's due date is the same? o_o; After I'm done with this GD mini series for AP I'll have to make you some arts for one of your books. *is crazy stressed from moving and making, comics, and working*

AUGH you reminded me, I need to keep packing stuff so we can move too! AUGH MOVING! I really hate it.

I turned in a picture last year but I'm sure I can do a new one. XD is it still limited to one page per person?

Yeah, moving is killing me right now. One would thing I'd have gotten use to it by now.

The rule is technically one picture per person, but I am kind of leaning towards using the ones people gave us last year (when it ended up postponed cause of the whole printer debacle) and if those people do another one, well then, they get two pages. ^_^; I'm sure I'll get screamed at for that not being fair or something, but I figure if people worked hard on nice pieces for us two years in a row, they should get two pages. Heh!

I despise moving. We haven't moved in like six or seven years, and this move will only be across the apartment complex, but lord, the packing is hellish. So much sorting! It's especially bad because I have to keep all the business stuff sorted and ready to go with as little downtime as possible.

Cool, cool! I'll make sure to do something mega special. When is the latest you can have it? I'll try and do a one page comic.

I've been packing since January because I knew that working and doing this mini series would eat into my free time. The comic is something that is really important to me. But.... despite all of this planning I'm still not ready at all. XD
