Cheap Chocolate Eve!

I made the horrible tactical error of going to HEB this morning, to get fixin's for a nice breakfast and dinner. What a nightmare! I couldn't even get to the salad section, due to all the haunted looking men milling around the flower section aimlessly! What a pain! Then, the line was insane, and the woman in front of me didn't have enough cash to buy her groceries, so she kept taking things off the total, then putting things back, then taking them off again. All I had to occupy myself was Oprah's magazine. And man, am I glad I don't read that thing. It is so boring. I did finally get my things and pay, but by the time I got home (walking) it was around 1 in the afternoon! So much for breakfast.... it was more like brunch. But I have to say, my smoked pork chop cooking skills are still awesome. I was going to make a fancy dinner tonight (again with the pork chops, since I am such a genius at cooking those....), but apparently, I am going to Austin with DP and his friends for the Spike & Mike's Animation festival. Um, yay? I'm sure there will be animations to offend me, since my taste is a little more --shall we say-- refined than DP's. After all, he loved those old icebox.com animations, except for Mr. Wong, which he found racist. (He is half-Asian after all...) I couldn't stand those things.... yet I like HAPPY TREE FRIENDS, so who can tell.
At any rate, it's an open invitation to show up, Austinite LJ friends-
onsokukoe?
atomicpanda?
brokenlibrarian? I'll try to call you guys when we get to Austin. I think the showing is at 7 pm, but I do not know which theatre it is at. But come out! Come out and have fun with us for Cheap Chocolate Eve! ^_^ It will be fun!
In other things, stylishly dressed and very handsome teenage boys in the next line at the grocery store were exclaiming about my hair. One wore a black suit and tie and white shirt, and had his black hair in a mohawk. One wore a seventies brown leather hipster jacket and darkwash jeans and had longish, wavy hair. One wore vintage trousers, chunky shoes, a stripey satin-sheen shirt and a sweater vest, and I swear to god, a cravat and had short spiky hair and glasses. All were Hispanic. They were buying candy and flowers, and it was very sweet. Where were these stylish Latino boys when I was in high school?! (They were probably all gay, actually, these kids were way too stylishly dressed for a Saturday morning...)
Tomorrow is the pay-per-view, and SD and
suarez are coming over to watch it (and pay for it) on my cable box. Eddie Guerrero has a big match, so I'm actually interested. Latino Heat! ^_~
Anyway, time to get ready to go. Hope it's fun and I hope everyone has a good Cheap Chocolate Eve!
